It took me a while before I figured out this camera was a Balda Poka since it doesn’t have any specific markings or logo’s. It was only by chance that it came across a picture on
lomography.com of the same camera, with the name mentioned.
It’s a nice camera to shoot with. There aren’t many setting to choose, so it’s an uncomplicated buisiness. Daylight? Check. Subject not too close? Check. Shoot. I’ve only used black and white film in this camera for some reason. That does produce some lovely vintagy pictures. I think it’s perfect for mountains and nature and things. Timeless stuff. Not too great for portraits and close-ups though.
