This is the simpelest camera I have. It hardly even qualifies as a camera. I quite like it, though. It’s th first pinhole camera I have more or less mastered. All previous attempt always were disappointing (although that could be because I’ve only started developing my own film a year ago. It helps if you’re the one in control of the negative scanner). It’s a bit of a hit-and-miss camera: the first time I used it, hardly any recognisable images came out. But as I managed to improve the sprocket counter (i.e. a bit of plastic stuck to the source roll with tape) the picktures became better. The whole limitless depth of tfield thing doesn’t quite work with my rather imperfect pinhole, but still, I’m pretty happy with the pictures. Black and whithe film works well because it’s really forgiving, so under- or over exposion is not too big a problem. But it’s fine with color as well. The occasional light leak adds just that little bit extra.
I have two masks, a larger one for regular 36×24mm negatives, and a smaller square format 24×24mm one. I prefer the square one. I made the edges rough, because I like the fringe effect in the pictures.
